MAMAMOO’s “4 Flowers” has one line that feels especially meaningful:

흩어져도 뿌리는 하난 걸

이별 그 후에 다시 피우는 꽃

흩어지다 means “to scatter” or “spread apart.”

So 흩어져도 means:

“even if we scatter”

“even if we move apart”

“even if we are no longer in the same place”

But then comes:

뿌리는 하난 걸

“the root is one, you know.”

That image is beautiful.

Flowers can bloom separately.

Petals can fall.

Seasons can change.

People can take different paths.

But the root is what stays underneath.

And then:

이별 그 후에 다시 피우는 꽃

“a flower that blooms again after goodbye.”

So this lyric is not saying separation did not hurt.

It says:

even after goodbye,

something remained.

And from that same root,

the flowers bloom again.
