Hanroro on Thursday dropped a new single with two songs revolving around the bigger theme of Love and Hate and MVs for both songs. I take a look at ‘1111’ here and will post ‘Game Over?’ In a few minutes, too.
On 꼰대희 (Ggondaehui), Hanroro talked about how she feels that most things are running in cycles, and so do her feelings. You can come to hate someone you loved for a long time, or vice versa. These changing feelings are at the core of both ‘1111’ and ‘Game Over?’ In ‘1111’ she is at the receiving end of such a change, asking ‘언제부터 날 그렇게 못 본 척했었나요?’ (Since when did you pretend not to see me that way?’). The gist of the song is in the repeated lines of the chorus:
사랑하는 것들로부터 난 한 발짝 멀어지고
미워하는 것들 속에서 난 한없이 작아지고
“From the things I love, I take a step away,
and among the things I hate, I become endlessly smaller.”
